Commissions
Taking on landscape commissions, and always up for traveling somewhere beautiful to do it. Especially drawn to artist residencies — South Carolina and Florida top the list, but any landscape with that pull will get my attention.
I'll take on architectural work, but it's not where my heart is unless the building sits within a landscape.
I take on a few commissions each year — send me your proposal:

Original Landscape Paintings by Eve Hennessa
Nature runs through everything I make. Even in the abstracts, it's the sky itself I'm reaching toward — I live in its vastness, the awe-struck feeling, a feeling of love and reverence. Water has its own pull: it's a current that moves through you, providing for you, without ever running dry. The trees, too, are friendly and beautiful, each with its own character.
I long to paint the marsh — the South Carolina marsh where hundreds of years of my family have lived. It looks so subtle, so quiet, but it holds within it an almost insane abundance of life.
I have lived in Washington, DC for most of my life. While it's an exciting, complicated city, I have always seen this place first and foremost as a wild, living landscape. Two powerful rivers meet here — the Potomac and the Anacostia. We have the rushing waters of Great Falls, the quiet sanctuary of Theodore Roosevelt Island, swamps, and ancient quartz quarries beneath Rock Creek Park(see performace art).
The three paintings below are the gorgeous view from my Buzzard Point SW DC studio at "The Stacks DC". The top 3 original paintings featured below have already been acquired and are under contract. However, new works are currently on the easel, and custom commissions are available for those seeking a specific landscape or a piece in a similar vein. And some other paintings and drawings are available.
